Issue when having a clog

There is a bug that I encoutered today. I was doing a multicolor print and all of a sudent at 97% the nozzle clogged. The only way I found was to cancel the print because the machine doesnt allow me to change the temperature when it has an error. I needed to change the temperature to 250 then i was able to extrude. Why cant we change temperatures and just put the print on pause as its already on pause there is no other options… I was not able to change the temperatures even if I see the screen, and after 2 mins the printer tool head starts to cool down wich imo is even worse for the issue i had. Please change this so we can actually unclog our toolheads  thank you

Not just a problem for the A1…
I had this issue on my P1S until I got a better hotend.
The problem isn’t as easy to solve as you might think.
Sure, it would be possible to add like a “stop I have to fix things button” rather than a pause.
And it would also be possible to store the last position and to resume a print based on that once the problem is fixed.

What happens when the filament stops?
Ideally the printer stops.
More often than not though we our print head moving in mid air.
Even if the printer detected the issue early it still it still tried to keep printing after ever attempt to free things.
So there is no way of knowing when exactly the flow of filament started to affect the print.
But lets say it was a big print and you caught it right away.
Let’s also assume, despite better judgement, the printer would be able to pause or even let you turn it off without being unable to continue the print.
Similar to the recovery after a power loss…
The print is now cooled down, totally changing how the extruded plastic forms and adheres to it, usually resulting in the print lifting apart under stress at this very layer.
Not to mention the possible (likely) missing bits from when the struggles began.
Unless you get creative by changing the G-code to have a higher nozzle temp and much slower speed when the print continues you probably won’t be happy.
And those on the fly changes are not really supported in Studio, nor the firmware (yet anyway).

Can you elaborate on a better hotend? Is it something other than the stock hardened steel ones they sell?

I got klipper machine… weirdly I can do it with them but not with a Bambu printer ?? Aslo I can do the same on any other brand machines so why cant with bambu ? easy fix problem just gotta change that coding a bit

Sorry I can’t as I only have a P1S to refer to.
As far as I know the hotends for the A1 are different, at least those connectors for the heater and temp sensor.
Don’t really know of any aftermarket hotend for the A1, at least not from reputed companies, only Chinaware.
Maybe some A1 owners can chip in here if they found a high flow hotend for the A1 ?
