Issue with Camera

Same for me, I’m not sure it’s worth ordering a new one. Its seems to be a bad design.

I have been having the same issue as well. Those who sent a support ticket, did they send you a new camera for free?

Yeah i got send a new one for free. It took only a few days to arrive.
Mine works since a month without a problem.

Well, add me to the list of people with camera issues. Started happening occasionally some time ago. Opened a support ticket today.

I do have the same problem and received a replacement camera. But now I wanted to remove the old one. The cable was easy to detach, but I can’t push the camera as shown in the video. It seems, that the camera is screwed, because it doesn’t move any millimeter.

Does anybody else changed the camera? How was your procedure? Easy or hard?

I’ve had this issue for a few months now. Also seems when chamber temps get higher is when it starts. Haven’t submitted a ticket for it. Will a new camera actually fix the issue or will it eventually happen again?

I had no trouble changing my camera using the Bambu video for a guide.

The text description on the wiki is a little confusing, apparently assuming you are standing to the side of the printer (as in the video) and referencing right/left when I think front/rear of the printer would be more appropriate.

There are no screws, it just snaps into place. (Notice there are no screw holes on the new camera) You might need to exert more force to get it free.

After using force and heating the glue in front of it. At the end it was a success. Now I have a new cam.

I agree 100% this issue started after I printed ABS and then later some Nylon that was even warmer. My camera occasionally will work, but it seems like only occasionally and unknown circumstances. If I had to guess the high temp chamber might be enough to soften something it shouldn’t be.

I had to replace the camera in my x1c. It the printer was cold the camera would work for awhile but as it got warmer the image would turn to noise. Appears the continued exposure to temps over 90f cause it to malfunction and because its in an enclosed printer this seems like I’ll have the same issue with the replacememt they sent unless the design has been improved.

Had my camera simply cease to function with a usb camera malfunction error code. Same time also, soon after I printed a few projects in ABS.

I just started printing a project with ASA and it’s higher temp. My camera just started the same thing. Going to wait and see if it corrects itself after printing and temperature drops.

Thank you OP for this post, and everyone else. I just got the same issue today and was low-key freaking out. Submitted a ticket so I hope that’s all it takes!!

I know this is an older post, but newer printers are still arriving with the issue. It appears the adhesive used to mount the camera lens to the camera board is fairly weak and breaks free, probably worsens with heat. While inspecting for a separate issue I found the adhesive to already be loose. I could replicate the issues you guys are having (red and purple distortions) by carefully moving the lens away from the camera board and then it would fix by holding the lens against the board. The fix for Bambu will be to test and use better adhesives or a new camera board design.
