Issue with PLA Silk+ Profile Not Recognized by AMS or Bambu Studio

Hi everyone,

I just received my spools of PLA Silk+ and ran into an issue when trying to use them.

My X1C and AMS are fully up to date with the latest firmware versions:

  • Printer: 01.08.02.00
  • AMS: 00.00.06.44

The AMS doesn’t recognize the Silk+ spools automatically. I can manually select Bambu / PLA Silk+ in the printer menu, but when I synchronize with Bambu Studio, it says the filament is unknown or incompatible and defaults to the generic presets.

I’ve updated Bambu Studio to version 1.10.1.50, and when I check for preset updates, it says “the configuration is up to date.”

Am I missing a step, or is there another way to get the correct profile for PLA Silk+? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Rune

Is it enabled in ‘set filaments to use’ in Bambu Studio?

Can’t remember if this was done by default with PETG-HF, that’s the only new filament I’ve had experience with, and you can see that there is no Silk+ in my menu likely because i’m still on 1.9.7.52

Unfortunately it’s not present in the ‘set filaments’ list. There is just the regular, soon to be gone, Silk.
