Issue with supports

Hi
Ever sence ive owned the bambue X1c ive had issue with my supports and bridging, im not sure what im doing wrong i have my z offset set to .2 Top z offset .2 bottom please help

Welcome to the forum.

I’m not sure what you’re expecting with supports and bridging areas but they are never going to look as good as the rest of the print especially if you are using the same material for support/support interface. It’s just how current FDM printing is. You can tweak it to be marginally better but it’s usually better to just design/print parts so they don’t require support.

Can you show the print orientation and the support in your slicer?

A long bridge like that looks like a perfect case for printing an interface layer (a non-sticking, dissimilar filament) between the support below and the part above. It should then be perfectly smooth underneath, and separate easily too.

If you’re not sure what this is, check the info in the Wiki and videos on YouTube that illustrate this, or post back here.

It’s easier with an AMS, but if you don’t have one, a pause can be put in the GCODE so that the filament can be changed manually to the interface material for the one layer, and then back again to the normal material. To prevent multiple changes, orientate the part so that the interface layer is horizontal, if that is possible (it looks so) There are a few threads here explaining how to do that too.

This is what im up against , i really shouldn’t saybinalways have issues with bridges manly with PETG and ABS are my worst, pictures i posted where with ABS

I would use PLA as your interface support material on your PETG object. Set the purge volume from PLA to PETG at 800 to avoid cross contamination that could cause layer adhesion issues. Going from PETG to PLA should be good at 400. When you enable the interface material for supports, Bambu Studio will prompt to set the z distance to 0 so it will bring the support all the way up rather then leaving an air gap.

I don’t print ABS so I have no support experience with it.

Thanks!! This solved my problem
Going to interface using pla on PETG and Abs for a separate layer turning top-z to 0 and interface spacing 0, pattern concentric
Thanks again
