Issues printing ASA part with overhang

Hi everyone,

I’ve been struggling to get a clean print on a technical ASA part with a tricky overhang and could use some feedback from people who’ve faced similar challenges.

My Setup :

Printer: Bambu Lab P1S
Slicer: Bambu Studio
Filament: ApolloX (ASA) by Formfutura
Nozzle: 0.4 mm

It’s an angled connector – a 90° elbow with a central channel to join two tubes. For strength, I print it with the elbow down on the bed and the two arms pointing upward.

This is what comes out after printing. The lower part of the bend always comes out badly. The interface between the supports and the part is damaged and the filaments pull out…

Here are the print settings I currently use :

Can you think of anything I could change to improve the quality of the piece?

Thank you very much!

Try orientate the print like this

Is there any way that you can just model the part to have a flat surface at the elbow so that you just have the 45 degree angles and smaller or no supports?

Or use the slicer to paint supports in only the spots where needed to cut down on where they touch the part.
