Issues with mesh

Hi all,

I’m not sure if this is the right forum to post my issue in, but I am having trouble printing models which I didn’t have using Cura with my other printer(s).
The issue is that I have a design which I placed into a different part and it peels off instead of being embedded. I have been googling like a madman and I think the problem is that there are non manifold edges?
If that is the case, how do I fix it? I’m on Fedora so the Bambulab slicer says that the repair option doesn’t work.

Please help!

Welcome to the forum.

Do you mean that the part isn’t adhering to the bed?

Can you upload the .3mf file you are working with? It will help diagnosing your problem.

The software sees those parts as separate yet sharing an edge and that creates an issue that the repair option will fix. You can also merge it in other 3d editing software.

But if you can, just post the .3mf here and someone will repair it for you.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I suspected this was the cause.
I appreciate your time.

I ended up installing Cura to fix the mesh before finishing up in Bambulab Studio.

Thanks again!

Hi,

Thank you taking the time to try and help me out. I had a hard time explaining the issue. I had just stuck other meshes partially inside the main one and they ended up creating like a boolean operation where the smaller mesh carved out the main mesh and fell away.

I ended up installing Cura to make it solid before finishing up in Bambulab Studio.

Thank you again for your time!

There is an option if you select both parts (and right click) to “merge” them together in Bambu Studio.

That’s even better! Thank you, trying it out now.
