A1 AMS lite. I am having issues with a specific filament. Sunlu pla+ 2.0 black. Just black. Dried it. Recalibrated it with Orca. Printed the same thing in a different color same AMS slot. Did a cold pull or three. I am at my wits end here. Why am I having an issue with *one* color? I don’t know what to try next and I can’t find any help after weeks of searching. Anyone have ideas?
So, assuming that it’s only this specific filament spool:
- Poor quality filament due to manufacturing defects - unlikely
- Your dealer ripped you off, and it’s a fake - very likely, depending on the shop
That probably has nothing to do with the color; it’s just a coincidence that this particular spool is defective for some reason.
nope 2 different spools, may have been from the same package though, I think I got a 4 pack. I bought from Sunlu store on amazon.
Clogs come in a lot of flavors, what kind are you getting?
Jammed in tube/AMS hub, before the extruder?
Entered extruder, clogged, will not come out of extruder?
Filament will go into extruder and retreat out of it, but nothing comes out the nozzle?
Happened during midprint, print dislodged, got a blob of death on nozzle?
Just to rule that out: Check to see if it was really an official Sunlu store or if some seller snuck in and you accidentally ordered from there. Unfortunately, a lot of counterfeit products are now being sold on Amazon - including in the 3D printing sector.
Here’s an example from Amazon US: Sunlu filament - but not from the official Sunlu store.
Suddenly, the brand listed below is no longer Sunlu, but: YOOPAI
I’m not saying this store sells counterfeit goods; I’m just demonstrating a point here.
Have you tried testing the filament without using the AMS ?
