Issues with X2D and flexible arm hits the lip at the far right

Hi, First real post here.

Just bought an X2D after playing around a couple of months with a P2S and noticed something odd. When i print anything to the far right of the plate well within its bounds the flexible arm is just a tad to low making it pop up to the ledge on the side. (note the sudden snap in the gif)

It also makes a ■■■■ of a bang noise, which worries me.

Does anyone have this problem and know of a solution.
Is there something i need to tighten, clip back, etc perhaps?

First one to say “Clean your plate with soap and hot water” gets a thumbs up from me

is the sound gone if you lift that flexible arm? My H2D makes sounds with the hoses in some positions too, but not very loud

Yes if it does not snap to position its fine. I adjusted the print placement for now but it is worrying that there is to much flex in the arm and it sags down. It will only get worse with time and filament in the tubes.

yeah but those parts can take a beating  or you need to make some 3d printed part to prevent this

I think i need to go that route with this printer, not se this issue in my P2S. Mayybe a clip to hold the ptfe tube that is lower to the one above. just a slight up to the arm would prevent it i think. Otherwise a small ramp to the side somehow.

There is always a printed solution…

yeah, but these parts will probably outlive the printer even with the hitting of the frame no?

Not sure what would last longer, me. the printer, or any solution I find to be honest.

Did find solutions like this for semi related issues

https://makerworld.com/en/models/2789017-x2d-cable-chain-clips?from=search#profileId-3100932

But without testing I won’t be sure id it helps the actual chain hop up the ledge better without making noise. The noise is obnoxious at high speeds only mind you. Perhaps my chain is one part to long perhaps. Tried just lifting it a bit manually and hoping it stays in position for some hours to hop better, but unfortunately gravity is being mean.

If anyone knows a model that could help, please let me know. I would really appreciate it.

Well i feel dumb. It seems the chain was not fully seated at the extruder end.

Something new I learned, check after printer arrives for lose parts.

You just literally click it in and it makes a snap sound to know it is seated. (For those who come after finding this)

I’ve had the same issue just now when printing a large wide item on my X2D. It’s halfway through the project so i cant print a riser or arm just yet but have cut some adhesive backed foam and stuck it on the area that was hitting and making the most dust. So far working great and no more hitting sound. Will try and post photo later. Will address with permanent solution when current project being built is finished.
