It Was a Tortoise - Now It's a Hare!

I just stopped in to say that if you are running your printer on 110 volts rather than 220 volts, you’re having only 1/4 the fun!

I’m in the USA where the wall outlet is 110V or so. I just dropped in this step-up supply from Amazon (https://a.co/d/hjjH7gn) and now my hot bed jumps from 20C to 90C in less than 90 seconds! That’s about 4x faster than the time it was previously taking. Thats’ because the heater runs directly on line voltage. The measured power during this jump is about 900W. Of course, it settles right down when it gets to goal. The supply I bought has a universal outlet socket, so you don’t have to find a European power cable. Your 110V cable plugs right in. Just consider labeling the cable “220V” in a conspicuous spot to avoid any future surprises. My P1S has a label stating voltages from 110V to 240V near the plug.
