No. I just looked at the product pages for the H2D and the H2S. 3D Meshing is mentioned on the H2D, but not the H2S page. This is all we have to go off of other than your support interaction. There also shouldn’t really be a reason that the H2S wouldn’t support the 40w laser that I can see. This seems arbitrary, but Bambu clearly stated the 40w wasn’t compatible with the H2S, so I have no issue with that.
It is funny that if I perform the H2S to H2C upgrade, that the 40w laser is likely supported. I don’t need nor want it, but just interesting.
The power cable to the toolhead is smaller on the h2s I believe so the 40watt laser is to much

Now that I look at the Tool Head spare parts for the H2S vs H2D, I’m guessing it is the secondary connection that provides the additional power. This actually makes sense due to the fact that the H2d/H2c printers have to heat two nozzles up and not just one. So yea, you are right, there is a physical constraint that is removed when you upgrade an H2S to and H2C. H2 Series Tool Head with X-Axis Assembly | Bambu Lab US Store

RANT:I looked over the 1.02 version and thus far everything I see is for the H2D only. None of the new settings are compatible with the H2S…. Honestly F this. I’m seriously considering buying an xTool, this just isn’t worth it. I’d love to support the expansion of the laser feature, but the fact that the H2S is just left out in the cold for almost all the new laser features is infuriating. I’ve been an advocate for the Laser add on to the H2 series and for the most part it has been a great intro to laser cutting/engraving. The issue is when I pull up xTool Studio, everything works, the workflow is full functional and they have all the accessories one could want. Bambu Suite in all honesty SUCKS. Maybe they will support the H2S in the near future, but how long do we have to wait and deal with all this half baked BS.

They do release things, although they take a really long time.
It’s a typical issue of company growing too fast, too quick. I believe releasing H2C to catch on INDX was … not correct move. Considering that INDX is not fully out yet. Shouldve waited for the end of Q1 26 or something.
Personally, Im still waiting for birdeye support on non laser printers …

The 40W laser isn’t supported due to head size. The 40W laser is wider than the H2S head and would interfere with it’s movement, that’s at least what I’ve gathered online.
The power supply in each printer (H2S/H2D/H2C) is identical so if it’s a power issue it would be how much power is supplied to the print head.
Couldn’t agree more. The H2S is treated like the red-headed step child for some reason.
Its the P1P of the group. Don’t feel bad. H2D owners didnt know they were buying the P1S of the group.

Infact many of us thought we bought the X1C. H2D was indeed advertised and presented as the new flagship, before getting demoted twice.

Someday there will be a leak explaining the rationale of releasing the h2d as a flagship first. It’s confirmed the h2c was in development concurrently… so I’m guessing it will be a fun read.

Maybe the expectations have been set a bit high, but I clearly read “around” here.
In real life most planning’s never meet their target release. You see they are working on it and they might have found an issue that needs to be resolved before release.
Just be a little patient.

The statement is “around mid February” so technically they didn’t mention a year.
I am looking forward for it too, but constant wining is not going to speed things up.

Constant whining? Its been a year. The device was advertised on the original ad and it didnt say “coming in 1 year”. You for real? Just a guess, but the frustration is probably coming from the 1 YEAR WAIT lol

The definition “constant wining” was more generally meant.
But nevertheless, if Bambu Labs would release it early in a buggy state, then all users have something else to complain about.

On one hand everyone wants to know what’s in the pipeline, but as soon as they know, suddenly it takes to long.
Do you prefer that they from now on don’t tell you anymore what they have in mind for the future? And just drop it when it’s there?
