Just finished upgrading my P1P to the P1S (So Cool !)

Best upgrade I’ve ever done to a printer, I do have a couple questions.
1 If your trying to create a semi sealed environment for VOC’s and higher temps why does the door not have a seal in the hinge side? There is clearly a gap that will be letting temp out as well as heat,

2 What is the G Code for the MC board to activate and shut down. and If I simply use the P1S as default do those settings work as they should.

3 I had to roll back from version 7.0 on the firmware because I printed the same exact file with the exact settings and had excessive stringing. Anyone else had this issue?

4 Bambu Studio 2.0 seems to be very buggy, and a very weird work flow. I really have no need for it’s other “Features” since I can never really afford an HD2. Is there really a need since I’m sticking with my 2 A1’s and my P1S now.

Thanks

Well done.

  1. It is not meant to be vacuum sealed.

  2. If you mean to shut the printer down, meaning toggle the power switch, I am not sure that is possible due to the physical nature of the power switch.

  3. I have not performed the upgrade, but stringing is a thing in its own right.

    • Assuming you mean post-upgrade, does this occur with materials you couldn’t use before?

    • Does it occur with materials you used before the upgrade?

If so, moisture is your likely issue. Photos of the failed prints help people diagnose things for you.

  4. I have not upgraded to version 2 due to the security stuff. Download an earlier version, everything works for now at least. It will give them time to fix the issues.
