Hi! While exploring the capabilities of my new X1CC and scouring the internet for tips and tricks I noticed pictures of the inside. Added is a picture I found on the internet, I seem to be missing that white square on my machine… Can anyone enlighten me what its purpose is and if it should be on my machine when delivered or something I have to attach myself?
The white thing you see is a stick on “shield”. It should of come attached. People often find them in their poop collectors and ask about them. Some people have theorized it’s to help stop filament sticking to the side of the poop shoot or that it is a heat shield.
The fact that your X1C doesn’t seem to have it isn’t something I would be overly concerned about. The X1C development is ever ongoing and Bambu may not be adding them on the newest machines. Either way you can submit a customer support ticket to see what they have to say.
Now the issues I was having before make sense. It kept taking the filament after cleaning.
Looking closer I do see something like a magnet stuck to the side of the chute, now I’m thinking it might have folded over itself. Will check after current print is done.
