I bought a 2nd Carbon X and am going thru calibrating the Pressure Advance(K) values of my filaments on the new machine. And I am finding the values are the same between the two machines. So I asked Bard for a shortcut to redoing everything. FYI here was it’s answer:
Here’s how to approximate the Flow Ratio value for your second printer, based on the 0.020 K value from the first printer:
1. Calculate Extrusion Multiplier:
○ Use the formula: Extrusion Multiplier = 1 + K Value / Desired Wall Thickness
○ Assuming a 0.4 mm desired wall thickness, the extrusion multiplier is
1 + (0.020 / 0.4) = 1.05.
2. Enter Flow Ratio:
○ In the Filament tab of Bambu Studio on your second printer, find the Flow Ratio setting.
○ Enter 1.05 as the Flow Ratio value.
It would be great to directly enter the K value like you can on the Orca slicer. But I get why Bambu doesn’t want that.
