Keeps doing filament change

I up graded to the new BS the weekend, since then I am having problems when printing a single colour item.

It constantly keeps doing purging old filament like every 2-4 minutes.

Is this related to the upgrade, or something else, hoping someone can help.

Also is there a way to roll back to last version ?, and if so do my custom filaments get lost.

TIA

what filaments are you using? if the filament cracks and runs out the ams will push the filament forward and then purge the “old “ filament.

Post your 3MF file please!

This is the file on Makerworld

Using PLA basic

I’ve seen this happen once because there was a tangle in the spool and the printer was trying to correct itself…at least I think thats what was going on. I thought it was possessed it was so weird. Single color print I had done many times before. And yes there was a good tangle on the spool.

Ooooh this might be what happened to me, it was purging broken filament. It was a fiber filament that I ended up respooling to fix.

I checked the filament and not broken.

UPDATE:

Have rolled back to previous version, and it still does the same.

I have printed this before within the last 6 months and had no problems printing.

Just downloaded a small print from Makerworld, and it does it on that.

Starting to think it could be some setting I have not seen, of A1 firmware.

PROBLEM SOLVED:

Been printing all week with TPU with no problems, on Tuesday I changed the tubing to all reels and continued to print.

Thursday I needed to print in PLA, that’s when the problem started, I did not even think about the tubing, but then it clicked, so I have refitted the old tubing and it’s working as normal.

I would say that this PTFE tubing even with a 2.5mm hole had a lot of friction causing the A1 to think the filament was stuck, as mentioned in the comments above.

This is the tubing I purchased from Amazon that even says it’s suitable for the A1 except for soft material, which worked fine.

Thanks for all the advice.
