To start
A1 firmware 1.04
P1S 1.07
Bambu Studio 1.10.1.50
OrcaSlicer 2.3.0
I’ll just deal with the A1, but the P1S has the same issue. Everything works fine in the normal mode through the Bambu account.
Went to the A1, selected LAN only Mode, wrote down the IP address and access code. The same issue occurs in Bambu Studio and Orca Slicer.
A1 did not show up. Rebooted A1 and it shows up in my printer list as
A1(LAN). Hovering over the printer, I get a pop up that says online.
When I select the printer, it appears as the selected printer, but the wifi strength is 0 , shown by the icon

Then a few seconds later, I get the
Connect A1 failed! [SN xxxxx code-1]
It does show the correct serial number in the message.
When hooked up in normal mode through the Bambu account, I have 2 bars

Been through my firewall settings, router settings, and network settings and can’t find any issue. Tried manually adding the printer and no go. I can connect to a wifi enabled printer in the house, so seeing other wifi devices on the LAN is not an issue.
Even tried a different wifi router and had the same problem.
If both printers are showing the same issue, then I do think the problem is network-related. Could it be that your network isn’t broadcasting the correct signal at the time of connecting in LAN-only mode? What operating system are you using? I also noticed that your Bambu Studio version is quite outdated!
I recommend starting by making sure everything is up to date — the printer firmware, your Bambu Studio version, and possibly your system’s OS version. Then try using the LAN-only mode again.
Unless you manually reserved a specific local IP to a device, every time the device or wifi router restarts, a random local IP will be assigned to the device. This can cause local IP conflict. Best practice is to reserve a local IP for each of your connected devices in the wifi router settings.
In your case, restart wifi router usually solves the issue without needing to reserve local IP address.
I don’t recommend this. What’s the point of updating Bambu Studio if OP wants to use Orca Slicer? I’ve had zero issues going full LAN, and only updated one of the latest firmwares (I forgot which exactly, but it was the one that allowed the FW to be installed via SD card). I did that so I could fully unlock my printer when it’s inevitably freed.
@Quietman You’re better off asking on the Orca slicer discord when it comes to issues like this.
