LAN Only mode still needs Internet Connection?

So I have always run my A1 in LAN Only mode, as I just use the wireless to send print jobs - thats it. I assumed this mode does NOT need an active internet connect - just an active connection to the local network - same network as the computer of course.

A few days ago my ISP had some issues and I had no internet connection for an hour or two. Thought I would send a print job across to the printer, but as soon as I launched Bambu Studio it was VERY slow, laggy, and kept crashing. Everything just seemed to time out over and over.

As soon as my internet connection was live, everything was fine.

What gives?

I’ve had my X1Cs, a P1S and an A1 Mini in LAN only mode for a few weeks… and I blocked all their access at the router. But as I’m reading your post I realized what I didn’t block was the access of Studio on the computer I run it on. Is it possible if you have that option to “auto sync user presets” turned on it’s trying to connect constantly?

I know it’s not best programming practice to have something that never times out but maybe that’s the case?

These also probably don’t help either…
