I tested the same thing and everything seems to work fine as well. The only unknown gcode purpose gcode here are M18 E and M500 R, but they most likely do nothing and are just leftover from earlier in development.
M500 R is confirmed to do nothing Skew compensation in the Bambu X1C Firmware - #79 by EdStreet
M18 E would disable the extruder motor in marlin, but here the extruder motor power doesn’t seem to be controllable through gcode.
Besides PA calibration, the LIDAR is also used for first layer scan, but that doesn’t seem to require the calibration here.
