Last running firmware with orca slicer

hi,
I have firmware version 01.07.00 running on my P1S.
Bambu prompts me to update the firmware every time I start the printer.
My question: I use Orca Slicer and want to continue using it. What is the latest firmware that still works with Orca?
im not sure if it is the 01.07.00 because i stopped updating after all the discussions.
Alternatively, can I disable the update prompt on the printer?

While there doesn’t seem to be an exact and precise answer to this question, implied answers are mentioned on Orca’s Github page that 1.08 is where the incompatibility occurs. You may have better luck posting a question there as it’s unlikely Bambu would ever respond here.

I don’t know about the P1S, but I am in the same position with my X1C - have been avoiding the updates since all the noise, as I use Orca Slicer. However, today I’ve been looking into it and the update page (under update 01.08.05.00) states:

Authorization Control for Enhanced Security

  • The printer now verifies whether control commands originate from official or authorized software. If not, the commands will be rejected.
  • You can still:
    *** Use third-party slicers with Bambu Connect.**

That can be done, but it requires manually exporting the sliced code from Orca and then manually importing it to Connect, which will pass it along to the Bambu cloud.

So, you will no longer be able to just hit Print or Send in “Orca” and have the code sent to a cloud mode printer. Bambu will reject the code at their servers. You will also not be able to use the Orca Device tab to control the printer.

OR

Set LAN-only and Developer modes on the printer and abandon any cloud-enabled features.

Last firmwares without authorization control are:

X1C Version 01.08.02.00 (20240812)
P1P/P1S Version 01.08.01.00 (20250520)
A1/A1 Mini Version 01.04.00.00

For the P1S its 01.07.00.00 that’s the last working fw, if you go with a never it won’t print from orca, it sticks on preheating the plate, 54/55 C, nothing more happends
For the ams its 1.0.6 that’s working with orca and sending using cloud

I’ve just downgraded my P1S firmware to 01.08.01.00 and sent a print successfully from OrcaSlicer 2.3.1 build f2d10a0. Maybe Orca have resolved the issue from their end?

Or Unpoor’s problem was not the 1.08.01 firmware. Sometimes any firmware change will cause strange issues until a reset is done.

Strange, well since the erlier work’s I whont reset or tinker anymore, still works so don’t mess with it.

Found this thread because this is the issue I am having. The weird part is it happened in the middle of a print when swapping objects. First object printed fine, and then it paused before printing the second. Orca says the heatbed is preheating. I haven’t updated firmware, and I have been printing consistently for the past two weeks with no issues. Confirmed firmware is 1.07. I have tried unplugging and replugging in the machine and restarting Orca but nothing is helping. Any ideas?
