Hi guys,
As you should know, the Beauty of Mathematics contest has ended, and I have participated in it. I have waited patiently and excitedly for the results (which is on July 22) but unfortunately, it has been already 2 days after the result release date and I still have no results on the winners.
Do you guys have any insights on this, or is it just my computer’s problem?
It happens from time to time that the deadlines are extended or exceeded. They print all the models to judge and this contest seemed to have quite a few.

Have they confirmed that? Cannot remember they actually stated that.

Hi, thanks for asking. As the contest results require voting and verification of all models, it may take longer than anticipated, particularly when there are many participants. Consequently, there may be occasional delays from time to time. We are committed to speeding up the results process for future contests. I don’t understand the results. Was it a geometry contest? There were original models on the theme and all the usual award winning boring models that can easily be found on the internet. I’ll start by saying that I don’t take part in contests, but I’d like to find something that’s really on topic -

I just looked, OK, I agree.
I am NOT going to name entries either, but, I know a few that took it in a different direction and should have been on that list. However, they have won a few before, maybe that is a factor.
There are a couple there in the excellent participation section that could have been in the top spots.
The problem though, this is all subjective.
What I think is good and how I think it should have been judged is my perspective. I’m not voting and I do not know their perspective.
I have only ever won an excellent participation which SHOCKED me as I didn’t think I stood up to others. I don’t enter to win. If you have ever seen my entries, I think you would concur.
They literally let someone win who tole the design from me.
Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get told how to get in touch to claim a prize? I got my first participation prize (yet me!) but have not received an email yet.
Scratch that! Literally received the email just after typing this!
