I feel like this deserves a little bump.

@BambuLab, can you please give a clear statement on these things? Aren’t you aware your guidelines are formulated so strictly that technically you banned any of these, even though you tell people they are still allowed? We really need a list of what’s allowed and what’s not.

Thank you for asking and providing us a chance to explain and elaborate on our rules regarding advertising. We will try to be as clear and specific as possible.

Clearly prohibited:

  1. Obvious advertising behavior : There is obvious malicious advertising in the model nickname, picture, or description: (for example: QR codes in model photos, or sponsor contents in model descriptions.)
  2. Upload incomplete print files or profiles : Only uploading part of the model or only upload model pictures without files, and directing users to other platforms or APPs for the complete files.
  3. Provide services that are not related to the model : There are services that are not related to 3D modeling in the model description
  4. Time-limited propaganda: The model description indicates time-limited supply of certain models and direct users to other platforms.

What we allow: Links that are related to a specific 3D model of creator, including

  • links to shopping websites to certain non-printable parts in the model.
  • links to websites that provides 3D modeling related services or accessories related to this specifc model.
  • creator supporting platforms such as Buy me a coffee.

Hi @MakerWorld thanks for the clarification. By this statement I believe patreon for a commercial license is ok, however you have not specifically mentioned patreon so still slightly unknown.

Just a hunch I have, but I think this maybe because makerworld plan roll out commercial license features on the Makerworld themselves in the future. Just me speculating tho!
