Latest software version

Is anyone else have trouble printing multiple items on the bed. After the latest software update. It tells you the item is to high to print more than two items when you know you should be able to print four to five items without the print head hitting them.

I haven’t so far. I’ve been printing multiple items today on two X1C’s and no issues. However, most of the items are not drastically different in height.

Are you selecting print-by-object?

Yes, PETG doesn’t like to rest between layers.

I printing same hight and the same object.

I have run into this multiple times. Any thing over three items that are vertical and the slicer begins to flip out saying that it can’t print. Take away one of them and it’s happy again. Even when set to “by layer”. It’s a slicer logic bug for sure.

There is a height clearance, making impossible to print several object that are higher than a certain height.

Even if it would work on other printers because for example you print from back to front and dont care about height, Bambu printer make some movments (specialy if you change filament, it hve to go to the cutter actuator) that may hit an already printed object with its rods when starting a new object if it is higher than the height rod clearance.

I think it’s because some people had trouble with “by object” printing even when it would normally print fine if something happened during the print that caused a filament change (or re-prime), as that would move the head to the filament cutting area and then back above the bucket, knocking prints down in the process. You would need to move the bed down sufficiently to avoid knocking and that is not trivial logic to implement in g-code (if possible at all)… also, we all know that the printer can’t count and collides the bed in the bottom… you’re just risking all around nastiness when you start moving stuff during print too much.

Yep that’s it ! (we have actually post at the same time nearly the same mind  )

Also, on preview you can check “travel” and it will show you all travels, by default Bambulab printer do a lot of unexpected travels.

Well it used to print with the old software. If your not using your AMS, and only have one type of filament set, and printing by object. It should easily work.

Well sure but as a manufacturer/seller they probably don’t want someone break something and complain, which is understandable from a commercial point of view, I guess you can still use the non official version “Orca slicer”
