Layers not sticking

printing a relatively simple right angled bracket for a computer fan and heatsink…the top few layers of the inner vertical side as shown attached in red arent “sticking” and can be pressed in and out
I am printing it in the orientation shown in the screenshot - i.e. the face that isnt sticking is the inner part of the bracket, the outer (also vertical) side seems OK
I am using Creative PETG with the same settings I have always used for everything

What is your Nozzle Temperature that you are using?

same as we always have without issue…
250 deg C for all layers
plate 80deg for 1st layer, 70deg for subsequent layers
I have re-printed it with the same problem

I have found that with Creality PETG, I am using a Nozzle Temp of 255 and a Bed Temp of 80. I have also, at times, had to slow the print speed down to about 80% of all default values.

Apologies for the delayed response…I am not getting notifications!
Thanks for your reply.,…would 5 deg C really make that much difference ??

This is what I found when printing with PETG on a Bambu Printer:

  1. Nozzle Temp should be on the high end of the temperature range…I found that 255c kept the nozzle from clumping.
  2. My bed temp does well above 75c…so 75-80 for all layers…helps with warping as the model cools.
  3. You really should use a filament drier, moisture on the filament causes the water to burst when it hits the high temp nozzle, which will cause print failure. I recommend sunlu for the drier, but others are good.
