they will release a new one pretty soon probably… there wont be any more updates or new parts for the older models…

Don’t do it! I had nothing but problems with this. Wouldn’t always connect or stay connected. Can get in an endless loop loading filament. Prompting what to do when loading filament is inconsistent and confusing. Would go blank and never wake up again. And other junk I can’t remember now.
If you want one, I will put mine and an extra screen in a box and send it to you for $10.

My x-touch works fine. I use it in another room, when needed, to keep an eye on the p1s print progress, which is in lan mode. I’ve not noticed a problem with filament feed, or anything, but when I’m at the printer, i usually use the screen/buttons that are built into the printer.
I’m coming from Resin printers, so the fact that the P1S screen is usable is a big step up! But so far I’m really only using my phone, which is just fine by me vs. spending more to get on the machine screen.
Yep, it keeps the price lower for sure. My problem with the phone is that I can’t figure out how to do it. And I’m sooo not-a-cell-phone person, that I may never figure it out. And besides, I’m spoiled on my giant PC monitor and BStudio. I’m pretty happy with the whole BL upgrade coming from two Ender 3s.
If you have an android phone,or tablet, you can remote access into your pc, and run studio/whatever.
