hi all, just wondering what type of grease people are using for the lead screws, i know superlube is a bit of a standard but what number are you guys using ,92003 ect? also is lithium grease any good?

I use SilGlyde silicone grease for my lead screws and most other things that need a light grease. It is sometimes packaged as brake lubricant, but the contents are the same. It is water and heat resistant, does not degrade plastic or rubber the way petroleum greases can. It stays in place and does not separate and run the way some lithium greases do. But white lithium grease will work for lead screws if that is what you have on hand.
The steel guide rods are kept lubricated and rust-free with a film of sewing machine oil, mainly because it works and I have a good supply. If I ever need more, I will probably search for a similar low-viscosity (5W or ISO 22) oil. I don’t like Bambu’s recommendation of WD-40 Multi-Use product, it evaporates too quickly to lube or protect for long.
I move my build plates far away while lubricating my printer. Stray oil and grease will prevent adhesion, and silicone is particularly difficult to remove.
