I was searching something and this came up… . The picture of a printer next to an A1 mini… mhhhh… doesnt look like the A1 mini to be honest… it is not AI generated!
what do you think? It looks like it is a printer with an extra window on the side… and it is not a x1!
Seems to be the P1 Meteorite Grey model
Colour LCD by the looks, so maybe a new version coming up with some upgraded parts or high temp capable - who knows…
There they call it Armour Plate not Meteorite Grey LOL
But ProtoSpyre made a great catch there!
Funny how quick people can get excited …
Was soo hoping this could be dragged out for a few more hours
I think people need to with these companies will specifically with creality and with bamboo lab and I guess kind of flashforge but not really them as much because they aren’t trying to be something that they aren’t but until you actually know the specifications of a printer not to get like excited about it because for instance creality has like a supposedly better K1 that’s a thing called a k1c, but it is virtually the same machine like there’s no difference between the two it’s basically just what the original machine probably should have been because that machine was such a disaster
But both companies do this where they will just add a letter or just like add like a visual difference between the two machines or add an enclosure and then try to convince you that you NEED it and that it’s some kind of meaningful upgrade
And bamboo Lab’s version of this is the A1 and then the X1 or the A1C or whatever the upgraded version is.
it’s literally like $500 more expensive and the only difference is that it’s in an enclosure and they will say that no no you need this one because it has a hardened nozzle it’s like okay well you can just buy the hard nozzle and put it in the A1 because it’s literally the exact same machine there’s no difference between them
And the hard nozzle is standard now anyway so it’s purely not an upgrade it’s $500 for four plexiglass panels that would cost you like $40 if you just bought them and taped them together. Cut a hole in one side and throw a CPU fan on it and bam you have a whole temperature regulation system
Point is if this is an actual leak then they leaked on purpose because that’s not how that works and then they’re trying to get people hyped off of the visual alone because the AMS is actually legit and easily the A1 is a much much much better machine than the K1 holy s*** it is so much better, but that doesn’t mean that the next machine they release is going to be meaningfully different from the A1 and I doubt that it will be because if ttere were some new kind of technology that lets you print faster or like makes the AMS change filaments faster (even though I don’t want to have to buy one of those every single time I buy a machine but whatever) we would already have heard about it like they would have talked about it at one of the trade shows so it’s just it’s not a thing they’re just trying to get people to feel like they need another machine even though the machine everyone has is probably the best machine that exists currently if it’s in A1 at least as far as like consumer machines go
The X1 and then X1C is what you’re probably thinking of, as the differences between an A1 and X1 are far larger and notable. I mean, the main movement mechanism is just a different beast, even if it’s chewing on the same plastic.
Even when you look at the P1 vs the X1. There’s more differences than just the side panels and the touch screen. The P1 is a budget version of an X1, and it’s components bare that out. While those differences might not mean much for a number of people, they are still there. It’s not merely throwing a hardened nozzle on it and calling it a new model.
