Just wondering if anyone has tried a USB LED stick like these to plug into the USB port in the front to shed more useful light on the print.
There was a thread on this topic not too long ago that you may find useful.
On the subject of this particular bulb. I would be hesitant to install that in the USB port. Two reasons for this. Mechanically these will snap the board if they happen to peak out into the travel of the printhead, ask me how I know… The USB port in the printer does not have a lot of clearance.
This light is obviously very rigid.
I’m assuming this is the one you are referring to:
The second reason I wouldn’t opt for this is that it won’t really deliver better light. An all around USB strip would work much better.
I remixed one that was on Printables using a COB LED strip my version flipped the direction of the LED so that it was an indirect light glow. The lighting is much more pleasant and the indirect nature of it is great for time lapse AVIs.

Do a search on Printables for LED Riser BAMBU and you’ll find many more.

Here’ an example of the kind of uniform lighting that is possible.
