Left extruder is "not extruding normally"

Hi

I start using the H2D for longer prints, but honestly, so far I don’t have confidence yet.
For the 2nd time I got the error message “extruder is not extruding normally” (left nozzle) and the print stopped during the night. In both cases I could not find any problem though. In one case I just resumed the print and it continued without issues. In the other case this would not work, so I canceled the print and removed the nozzle, but could not find anything. I inserted the nozzle again and everything worked again.

Anybody else, who got this error message? Did you find any root cause for that error?

I had a similar problem with my right extruder until it stopped working completely (it’s not able to grab filament even when fed directly). I have opened a ticket with support. I have yet to get a reply. This is extremely frustrating.

Have you checked the nozzle and extruder path to see if there is a blockage?

I would get this after using PLA Glow Green on LEFT Nozzle with external spool holder OE, but only after a supposed jam, which was never the case… so I would click acknowledge on the jam, and then this would trigger…but then there was no problem there either, so I hit continue… this happened three times, and it would only advance about 10% of the print each time, but the last time this error we’re having was skipped and some other error threw… I forget what, but the print had diminished in quality so much that now I could see there was definitely a problem, so I stopped the job…

I then tried a cold pull, and the tip broke off inside when pulling back the cold filament… … so I disassemble to the point of having the extruder’s removed and I can grab the bit that cooled too much just at the correct spot exiting the extruder next to the wheel, freezing the wheel as well… I do some feed tests with it all reassembled and printer off… now I cannot feed more than a few centimeters into the left nozzle, it stops almost immediately!!! right nozzle works fine!!!.. I have also just opened a ticket…

@nijaba what was your result with support or on your own?

They pointed me to the procedure to clean the extruder and it worked and is still working.
