I don’t know about anyone else, but I never said it was in gCode.
I’ve been under the opinion that it was firmware.
But honestly I don’t care if its firmware or the service instructions.
It doesn’t happen on the X1C and it does happen on the P1S.
It used to no happen on the P1S like you said. So someone changed it. They can fix it if they gave a sh*t or listened to customer demands. But they don’t
well i just got a p1s as well, and i’m baffled by the fact that the light always turns back on during print and doesn’t stay off, this works perfectly in the x1c so i’m not understanding why it’s not the case here
any news @BambuLab on when this will be fixed? seems to be a quick adjustment that needs to be done on the code
I’m not sure why people on this forum still think that Bambulab is reading anything from here. Just forget it, we are between ourselves. You have to submit a support ticket if you need real help.
You are saying that the bambu lab cloud doesn’t know when the print ends to turn the light off. But the printer itself cannot send a notification to the mobile app about a finished print, that must be the cloud service. So they clearly do know when the print finishes and could turn the light off.
Still it would be better to do that in firmware.
that kind of defeats the purpose of the light being automated on the printer. if they are going to turn the light on automatically they should turn the light OFF automatically.
again. This was NOT a issue prior to the software update they performed. the light did not automatically come on.
I can control it from my Bambu App. but it is annoying that if you print anything. the light will forever remain on, unless you Manually turn it off.
all I was requesting is they change it back to the original setting. Do not automatically turn on the light.
I suppose it could be annoying if you’re used to it working right, but I just got mine sixteen days ago and at least for me the lights never turned itself off. I thought it was weird myself.
I made a Workaround with home assistant, when home assistant detects that the print is finished, it turns the light off for me.
But as it looks with that new firmware update comming this wil be a thing of the past.
I’m tired of waiting for a fix from Bambu Lab. I created a python script that turns off the printer light after printing, I could share it with the community if anyone is interested. I ran it on my home router, if you have something similar you could do the same.
