If you have 100+ different filaments and need to create profiles for multiple types of printers (“only” two of them in my case – X1C and A1 mini) as well as for 0.2 mm and 0.4+ mm nozzles, such a limit is not acceptable. Please increase the limit to at least twice the current value!
Well, of course it poses a significant limitation. I can only work with one single computer as the profiles are not synched between multiple ones anymore. At least not all of them. Also, many of my profiles are not usable within Bambu Handy anymore as they do not exist in the cloud.
And now, they haven’t updated the wiki yet, but they dropped the filament profile limit from 200 to 100. This is totally unacceptable. I have purchased 4 AMS units and a lot of filaments (a lot of Bambu filaments too), as I do a lot of multicolor Hueforges. And as of the most recent Bambu Studio (2.2.0.85), the Batch Preset Management UI now displays that I’m using 167/100 filament profiles - and so far I’ve only created 0.4 nozzle profiles.
They were happy selling me filament, AMS units, and different nozzle sizes. Now they want to restrict my ability to use them. I really hope more people start complaining about this. I have been wondering lately why only 2/3 of my filaments were not showing up in the printer UI.
At the very least, they need to offer a way to upgrade your cloud usage limits - although this stuff takes up almost no space (my entire filament profiles folder is 1.04MB). This is absolutely ridiculous.
As I said in another thread, I love my X1C, but I’ll look elsewhere now for my future purchases.
Old thread but…
A few days ago the profile sync went completely haywire. I had a filament tuned to absolute perfection and saved it—used it for a few prints without issues. Then suddenly, all the original values were back again. Both my filament and profile settings wiped out.
Ruined a 14-hour print completely.
Either some shady business going on, or their cloud service is just a total mess.
