Lithophane issue

Hello

My first lithophane with my brand new P1S with Bambu Basic PLA… So not to nice :slightly_frowning_face:

Set 10 lines wall, 99%infill, slow speed and acceleration

  1. Where starts to print the layer there are “bubbles” looks like not enought material.

  2. Backside what should be need flat surface this is not.

  3. Somewhere little waves through more layers but same place

Can you help me please what can I do?

Thank you

have not tried one on my P1P yet but those are so thin that you could get by with 3 outer layers and no infill.

Those settings seem very different from what the lithophane printing guide suggests. Maybe start there, and see if that helps?

I’ve printed a couple dozen lithophanes now… and the only issue I’ve had was user error. The lithophanes all turned out great.

Hello

Please can you send me a link what you suggested?

I have no AMS and try 1 colour (white) litho

Thank you

Best regards

A simple search would turn this up for you. In this hobby, Google is your friend.

With that being said - here’s the link : CMYK Lithophane Printing Guide | Bambu Lab Wiki

It’s for color lithophanes, but the settings should be the same, just without the color changes.

I thinked you know a unique guide.

I know this guide but I have no AMS so CMYK is not relevant for me :frowning:

But what do you think, what setting seems very different?

Thank you

The guide is still totally relevant for you. Especially about the print configuration settings. They’re going to be the same whether it’s multi-color or single color.

There is a horizontal litho print where the object lies down.
Do you think it will be better quality instead of vertivally where the object stand?

However I see only 4 settings

  • Change the first layer height to 0.15mm;
  • Set the Top & Bottom Shell Layers to 3;
  • Modify infill to '100% Rectilinear;
  • off slow down for ovehang

Maybe I missed others?

Thank you for your answer

Best regards
