Live View error [2:2] on a Macintosh os 15.1.1

I’m in the middle of a large multicolor project with a tight deadline. All of the sudden, yesterday it suddenly stopped allowing me view the printer through Bambu Studio at all!
I’m repeatedly getting a 2:2 error, I’ve logged out, logged back in, reinstalled Bambu Studio with a fresh download… even found where to download Orca Slicer, but can’t get it to work since it keeps requiring to “bind with a PIN code” which of course the Bambu Wiki says isn’t possible on an X1C.

I have well over 3000 hours on this printer, and this is the first time I feel like I am having to rely on a $99 ender.

Does anyone know how to sync an X1C up to Orca Slicer without a PIN code while the printer is running? Or even any other software I could try to be able to manage and view my print?
At this point, I’ve basically given up on the Bambu Slicer, I love using it, but I’ve done as much as I can with it, with zero success.

In Studio (or OrcaSlicer) go to the home page and Log Out.
Click on Login/Register and log out again.
Click on Login/Register, sign in with your Bambu user name and password.

Repeatedly signing out & back in got it work just once, then it started with the same error once again.
I finally found a post where someone found that you have to go in to SYSTEM SETTINGS > PRIVACY & SECURITY, then scroll all the way down to LOCAL NETWORK. Then find Bambu Studio and turn the switch ON (or flip it off then on again if it’s already on)
Apparently it’s an MacOS Sequoia thing where it turns it off when updating.

Unfortunately, this does not work with Sequoia 15.2. Neither Live View nor access to the SD card is possible.
Can anyone give me some good advice?

Edit
I have found the cause but unfortunately no satisfactory solution. The reason is that the Little Snitch network filter blocks it from Sequoia 15.2 onwards. After I deactivated this net filter, Live View was active again. However, I don’t want to deactivate the network filter all the time.

I use an free app called LuLu which is like little snitch.

I removed the rules for bambu studio, closed bambu, re-opened it let it re-load the rules, still nothing.

Disabled lulu started working and then i renabled it while bamabu studio was open and was fine till i closed bambu studio and reopened and bang its gone again.
says there is a network issue (clearly there is not) and when it re-opened says re-install the system player. since the Wiki is suited to windows more then Mac there seems to be no soultion.

im running mac os 15.2 and i ran the betas with out this issue :man_shrugging:

Hello everyone, Same Issue like Vampiro2004!

:frowning: hi everyone same issue for me on Mac

Well, I found the solution. The problem comes from the MacBook Fire Wall. You go to system settings - Privacy and security - FileVault and disabled. There you go, you should recover the camera image and access to the SD card.
Have a nice evening.

Agreed, if I switch off the macOS firewall, I can connect to the camera and BambuStudio no longer reports that the camera is malfunctioning. This is super weird as I’ve gone in and manually added all of the Bambu Studio binaries (and binaries for the plugins for video connection) to the list of allowed software, but it still doesn’t work unless I fully disable the macOS built-in firewall.

Now, the other issue is that the Go Live option no longer toggles for me (on macOS 15.2), so I cannot stream to OBS.

I’m having the same issue but cannot disable FileVault as my company locks it down by policy… the thing is FileVault is not a firewall… it just encrypts things on disk.

Thank you! That solved for me.

To resolve the issue on my MBP 2019 I closed Bambu Studio then disabled and reenabled the app in Privacy & Security → Files & Folders and Local Network. Will see if the error comes back but working for now.

it is not working after disable and renabling access. Viewing is intermitent. 90% of the time it is not working. Mac OS 15.2

The same problem on my side. The only solution is to disable macOS Firewall which is not the real solution because it makes mac not protected.

Thank you, was able to connect to my printer with firewall on after reading this note.

This is probably the only solution at the moment, but a very unsatisfactory one. I hope that Bambulab or Apple will solve the problem.
Is there a way to make this easily accessible via a menu bar extension or similar?

I’ve confirmed the same problem on MacOS 15.2. Bambu Studio is set to be allowed through the firewall and to access the local network, but when the macOS firewall is on Wireshark shows outbound traffic from Bambu Studio to the local network is being blocked, but traffic to the Internet is not affected. Turning off the macOS firewall allows the local traffic and the video will work.

@BambuLab this is most likely being caused by Apple’s new Local Network Privacy. This app won’t allow me to include a link. The information you need to address this can be found on developer [.] apple [.] com in tech note TN3179.

That helped prefect! Thanks a lot!
