I’ve been getting this strange artifact on a particular model I’m printing. It’s these diagonal stripes somewhat similar to salmon skin artifacts. It’s much smaller and rougher though. The weird part is that this issue is on the same exact spot of my print no matter the location or orientation. I’ve tried changing the max volumetric speed, outer wall speed, and have dried the filament, but to no avail. It does seem to be filament specific though, as I’ve tried printing this on other filaments with no issue. Does anyone have any suggestions?
My X1C is currently on the 01.07.00.00 firmware. The filament I’m using is Sunlu’s white matte.
Have you tied increasing the hotend temp 5*-10*…??
I have not. I can try that though and see if that has an effect.
Root issue seems to be related to printing on a corner after an overhang. Like in the below pic, if I print along an overhang, even if it’s supported, and then turn to a vertical wall, I get the artifact above. It’s more significant when printing outer walls first, which I realized was the main issue with the above print I think, but even when doing inner walls first it’s still slightly visible. Printing at a lower speed might help? Not sure yet…
