Longer AMS Lite Connection Cord?

Do they have longer connection cords for the AMS lite? Honestly, the cable is so short, I want to move my AMS lite further away from the machine due to tight space.

I got myself one from Amazon, don’t think Bambu supply one

i went to walmart and bought a 4–wire trailer wiring kit to use to splice into the original cable to make longer, worked great. Was able to make extensions for both with one wiring kit, with wire to spare.

Did the same thing x2. One for the mini and another for the A1.

do u need to cut anything? or can u just added it to the existing cable to extend it

yes, you are cutting the original wires and adding more to make it longer.

Trailer wire kit is a good idea but expensive. You can also get wire and a few “Wago” clone connectors, or even “terminal block”, which would work out cheaper.

are you able to mount hte AMS above the printer?

I don’t really recommend it. Not saying it wouldn’t work but the results should someone get a wire connected wrong could be dire. I built custom cables for many applications for years on the job, and quickly learned that a bespoke cable, if reasonably available, was often the better choice.

I also avoid doing anything that might get me involved with Bambu Lab “support”.

how is wire & lever connectors any different from a trailer wire kit? you still have to cut the original cable and attach to the appropriate wire on the trailer kit, on both ends.

I bought 3 wires for my printers. They are just plug and play, u dont need to open the AMS lite. just connect them to ur current cable. it adds a 1ft or more to it. its a perfect length

the amazon listing shows 3 cables but its 1 cable for like $10
