I’m looking for ideas/models to print to make you printed easier.
I have an H2S and previously used a top feed setup Similar to this, but I have since purchased a 2nd ams 2 pro and have this Setup going on so there is no space to put a mount to hold the spool.
Unfortunately, with my setup, I have a poop chute mounted where the external spool holder on the left (as you stand in front of the printer looking at it) of the printer.
Anyone know of any models or have and ideas how I can print TPU with my very specific situation causing needless hurdles?
There’s two spots for the little bracket the external spool holder on the H2 series. You’ll have to print another one though. You can see both in use on my H2D, one for external spool (soon to be replaced with TPU module) and a poop chute:
I absolutely recommend you to try this waste bin. With magnets, it just clicks onto the back plate and it doesn’t obstruct air flow. An added bonus here, is that you’ll get a cleaner look on the printer.
As for TPU printing, you can either purchase the TPU feeder module which makes 95A a breeze to print. Or, you can set your AMS HT where your waste bin is (on the printers left side, towards the back). From there, run a PTFE tube all the way from the AMS HT bypass hole and into the extruder. Because the bypass hole for TPU on the AMS HT is aiming upwards, this means a very large radius on the PTFE tubes, hence why it will work.

When entering the link that says you “have this setup going on”, it shows 2 AMS 2 Pro’s and 1 AMS HT. That’s why I thought you had an AMS HT, was just trying to be helpful in regards to your question about TPU printing.
I use one of these for feeding TPU, then just cap off the tube when finished and leave it in the box for storage. It has worked very well. I print quite a bit of TPU, both 90a and 95a. I toss a desiccant bag in the box for a little added protection.
For the poop chute I modified an existing model, cut the lower back out of it and added another internal angled “chute”. This causes it to spit it out a little farther. Then I keep a large cardboard box on the floor behind it. All the poop goes in the box. The chute never fills up and clogs stuff. Been that way for 6 months and I haven’t had a single problem.
