Loud click clack noise

Ok now that we can see good that does not seem to be caused by the print head tubes hitting the right side in any way. That doesn’t sound normal to me. It’s like a clicking as you said, almost ratcheting sound. I can only guess the plastic chain maybe but I doubt it. I don’t know sorry. But I’m curious at what it could be.

Ouch, this isn’t the same noise. Does it make such a noise when you move it by hand?

Yea. When I turn printer off and move it it makes the same sound. Opened a ticket but I fear I end up dismantling it.

My a series make a similar noise but much quieter. Try do a belt calibration (just adjust the tension as it might be too tight) and oil the linear rail, and the bearings.

Drove me mad on the A too but I found out it is actually the retraction.

So I oiled everything. Tightened everything and short of taking the side panel off (Def near the front left z rail) I took of the chamber camera as that case seems loose. Not because of screws being loose but the fact it holds on to two screws only and the top is actually not fully flush.

I don’t know if that is the cause or a placebo but when I had the camera off or pushed the casing flush it seemed to stop. But it might just be because I don’t have bendy arms like that, trying to hold the camera down, move the head and stick my ear to the outside.

I know do a full calibration and will reprint the same model where the noise was the loudest and see if pushing random things will stop it.

No reply from support but I bet that takes a few days.

So … removing and adding the camera back again fixed it for now … weird weird weird.
