Including pictures and detailed information about the print speeds, filament type and settings used will help get the appropriate solutions.
My wife and I on the advice of a top computer tech student went with the Bambu Lab P1S with the AMS system back in March. People have been amazed. We have YouTubed, read articles, this forum! and networked. So much joy. However, Since March with may printers we had a PLA Glo (all Bambu) run in June. Lots of amazing stuff using blue lights but trouble started. Ams wouldn’t pull, kept having errors, then manually adjust.
We cleaned tubes, ordered new nozzle, multiple recalibrations, I ordered spare parts from Bambu just in case (Troubleshooting. We replaced 2 first stage feeders. I hope these pics can help more than words bc we are flummoxed. We miss printing… Two pics attached (fingers crossed file format is okay ) the tube isn’t gripping correctly. We are puzzled and many printer errors/fixes/troubleshooting hours!.
For some reason that pneumatic connector breaks out of the blue, its replaceable but you’ll need to open the Hub its attached to replace it. The part is available but not in standard form. This link shows the replacement item/donor part. The Wiki is really good for instructions which are in the same place. Replacing the pneumatic connector (PTFE Tube Coupler) | Bambu Lab Wiki
In typical hoarding fashion, I managed to remember I had a spare Feeder. Just so happens I noticed you mentioned you’ve ordered/replaced one. The Pneumatic connector is the same, you just need to yoink it out of your spares :))
I never though id have the printer out for 3 weeks and getting to this degree of mechanical skill… im trying! @BambuLab it would be nice to get some support from them, but they barely answer tickets! if not for all of you nice people id be really frustrated. thanks. I hope this is it!
so they won’t let me submit a ticket without a log. I go to their tutorials. I only see for PC and for SD cards. I have Bambu Studio (which is better since update but not as good as Cura!). I use Bambu Handy app- very convenient.
How do I get the log so I can submit a ticket and see if they respond! I am still under warranty !
I know I’ve submitted a ticket without a log when I replaced my AP board. You don’t have to upload a log. It may search for one and just fail on the log after a bit and let you continue. Been a little while since I did it but I’m sure you don’t HAVE to upload a log
yeah so it insists that I need a log. I was able to get the one from Bambu Studio, but in hour number two of just trying to submit a damn ticket, I can not figure out to get past this just to submit!
right, did you click it and have it attempt to upload your log?
I believe if it can it just skips it. Pretty sure that’s how I did it, unless it’s changed.
When my AP board was down I couldn’t access the printer beyond turning it on. It could have been in the categories my support questions were in the drop down, but I know it timed out trying to upload a log, and I went on.
Like I said, if it’s changed then I apologize, but try it. Can’t hurt.
Parts cannon and a heap of advice from strangers on the internet. Waiting for a ticket can be frustrating and then having to jump through all the hoops when you don’t have a lot of diagnostic experience tends to be the driver. The shortcut doesn’t always pay off, and then you are left to wait anyhow. I’ve never had any issue getting a result from support even with things that are in the grey zone of warranty. Ticket goes in, wait for reply, follow their instruction, get a diagnosis and hopefully parts sent, repair. Sometimes its a week, sometimes more depending on user experience, but thats the world of 3d Printing.
reading manuals, watching YouTube, talking to ppl on here, and I have a student in school that is a Mensa member, good enough? he’s going for computer engineering
The long list of things that were done to the printer before a ticket was even created piqued my curiosity, that’s all. There is no absolute right or wrong way to learn. We all learn as we go
For experience sharing, I mostly rely on Bambu Lab Wiki to diagnose and fix problems. If there isn’t relevant info there, a ticket to Bambu Lab support would be my second choice, particularly if the printer is new. They usually respond within 24 hours.
Hello. I just got my p1s printer a couple of days ago. Just set it up and trying to do my first ever print on it. Unfortunately the ams will not recognize the filament. It’s not that it’s because it a different brand it’s the one that came with the printer. It won’t even go in the tube. And when it does it doesn’t even reach the second tube. It just goes back to the spool. Could anyone help me in what is going wrong. I would appreciate it.
