Low Heat Transmission, High Heat Resistance?

So, I need to print a product that is going to spend a LOT of time in direct sunlight on high heat days. I tried PLA on the first prototype (knowing it was probably going to fail) and it got soft and collapsed. I used PETG on version 2, and it was “eh” but the flexibility was an issue. I’m leaning towards trying ABS for version 3 but wanted some thoughts from the group.
Ideally I’d like something that has some insulatory affect as well, so that the heat from the sun beating on it isn’t completely transferred to the equipment inside. That may be a long shot, and I may have to redesign with some air pockets or something for insulation, but thought I’d ask first.
So, whatcha got?

If it’s going to be out in the sun, ASA would be a better choice.
It’s more weather resistant.

Isn’t ASA more flexible, sort of on par with PETG? The PETG version flexed too much when I tried that.

Without knowing what the object is we can’t help accurately.
If it’s a big one, a double wall sandwich with aireated interior will help greately to low the heat transmission.

No, it’s like ABS without the smell.

The easiest description is a box with electronics inside. Overall it’s about 250mm x 200mm and about 100mm deep. I thought about the idea of a double wall with an airgap, but not sure how I could print it w/o support/infill between the walls. At that point the support/infill become heat conductors transporting the heat from the outer wall to the inner wall, which sort of defeats the airgap idea…or am I way off base on that?

I may give vapor treatment a try, but honestly, not concerned about it being 100% watertight. Water resistant is fine. The electronics are water resistant and can withstand direct rain if needed.

I think I’m going to give ASA a try, I ordered a couple rolls of white Polymaker that’ll be here tomorrow. We’ll see how it goes.
