Mac OS 27 upgrade compatibility with Bambu Studio

I am considering upgrading my MacBook to OS 27. I have seen problems with this upgrade back in June and nothing since. My MacBook keeps giving me warnings about Intel based apps not operating in OS27. Has anyone had issues since upgrading recently in October 2026?

No, I don’t have any issues running Bambu Studio on my MacBook M4 Max running MacOS 27. Bambu Studio distributions for MacOS are universal binaries.

The only issue (if you can call it one) with OS 27 is with Fusion, currently it doesn’t officially support it (yet). But it has been working just fine so far.

Currently I’m using Bambu Studio 2.8.2.61 and no issues yet.

I’ve only been on OS 27 since Monday this week so it’s not much of a confirmation. So far everything else on my M5 Studio is working just fine. Note that once you upgrade going back is not an easy downgrade. I had no choice since my computer came with OS 27.

Given the choice I’d wait if you can unless you like to live on the edge.

On 27.0.1 with a M4 Pro Mac mini, and Bambu Studio Beta (says its the latest version - 02.08.04.57) does go into endless beachballs after sending a print. It’s fully functional, up until you send it off to print, then it jams up for me. Force quit and recover lost work seems to have worked every time so far, but yeah..there is a bug at least in the current beta build.

Run the 02.08.04.61 beta instead. It fixes the freeze.

Thanks, I am running 26.6.2 on a M3 MacBook. I am not sure what Fusion but I will stay on the current OS since I am not real adventurous. I will give it a month or so.
