(macOS) Bambu Studio breaks macOS Dock

Hi there,

I’m currently experiencing the issue of Bambu Studio messing with the auto-hide feature of the macOS dock.

After launching/closing Bambu Studio, the macOS dock will never re-appear when the mouse if pointed to the bottom of the screen. (for users that have auto hiding of the dock enabled in their macOS settings).

The only way to work around this issue, is to kill (SIGKILL) the background processes spawned by Bambu Labs (All “Web Content” processes including “about:”).

After killing the processes, the macOS Dock behaves as expected.

This looks like a Bug. I cannot reproduce this every single time (sometimes webcontent in the app just refuses to display - like changelogs for firmware updates - I assume that the WebKit process crashed there), but when it happens, the Web Content processes that are still alive have to be killed to restore normal OS functionality.

Can you guys take a look at this?

Thanks!

I’m really new to Bambu Lab, but relatedly, when just dragged 3 STL files to BambuStudio, my dock showed 3 BambuStudio apps running. Definitely not normal behavior for software.

I have this too. I realise this was a year ago but did you ever get it resolved? Sometimes I’ll have 3 or 4 icons on the right of my dock. Weird.

Thanks

I don’t really pay attention to it, unsure if it still happens. I’ve not taken any action to resolve it.
