How does it compare to Visioneer’s nano adhesive? I use Nano as my tool of last resort, because I’d rate its level of stick as being “too much” if anything.
To phrase the question more succinctly: is Magigoo SuperGrip more sticky, the same, or less sticky than Visioneer’s Nano? Anyone know?
I know this thread was opened a while ago, but I couldn’t find a lot of info on the internet so I decided to post an update.
Just got some of this stuff. I had some warping with ABS on my engineering plate. I used Magigoo supergrid and I had a hard time to get my brims of the plate. I just torn all the brim and had to use a scraper to get them off.
This stuff is super sticky. Even when the plate is cooled it’s still attached to the plate. I guess it’s great if all else fails, but maybe I should have tried the original Magigoo first or another Magigoo.
Yes, that glue is indeed very tacky and, as you say, the print will not simply pop off once the plate has cooled. I use it a lot with filaments that do not adhere well directly to the build plate.
The parts stayed glued on the plate once cooled down, but they were easy to remove by flexing the plate. But brims just stay on the plate and are very hard to remove.
If you mean Magigoo Supergrip for PC/PA, then yes. However, I usually choose the Magigoo variant that is specifically made for the filament I want to keep on the build plate.
Yea, that was my question. I saw that they sell a version for PC and PA as well. But at 20 bucks a bottle, it get’s expensive fast and I don’t print those materials a lot. So if supergrip also works, I’ll try to use that.
