Maintenance Schedule

I’m already coming up on almost the one month anniversary of joining the Bambu ecosystem, and my X1C has been running more or less non-stop with only a few overnights left powered down.

My question is what should my maintenance steps look like? After breaking in the machine, should I be doing a deep clean of the lead screws? Checking belt tensions? Running calibrations again to update things? Making sure no particular screws are backing out?

Just want to keep this machine in tip top shape for the decade to come!

There is a good Bambu Wiki page for maintenance.

There are tons of videos and resources that address this, but yes you should be doing all of those things and following the maint schedule that JonRaymond posted.

Most of the maintenance is pretty self-explanatory/straight forward.

If you have not already, I recommend printing off the Rod Sloth, as it makes cleaning the lead screws a breeze.

Thanks for the link! I did some pretty thorough cleanup yesterday. No noticable difference in the printer but that’s a good thing right? Means everything was still in good health :+1:

I printed off a similar concept to rod sloth, which uses a sponge to hold isopropyl. Is there a type of sponge that is preferable for cleaning?

Nope, as long as it works. :slightly_smiling_face:
