Maker Supply Feedback Gift!

Designers choice 2 x pla-cf
the alternative is multicolour petg for ams showing 7 colours

You canā€™t just print it using whatever material? Now looking at it, that is a very clever method of giving the illusion for sure! I actually have the parts already to make it work.

very detailed instructions as well on assembly. Iā€™m pretty excited to watch this go around my computer lol

I thought that was funny. Was confused by the size of the box, like thatā€™s kind of big? In one of the smaller boxes too was just the motor, so. Like 98% of that package was air, haha.

I havent downloaded it to look at the 3mf yet

lol, forgot to mention the label also said ā€œSpare Printer Partsā€

so a few weeks ago I filled out this form on their web site and said Iā€™d like to see a wider range of magnets and an arduino style micro controler. It took me like 2 minutes and now thats why I can expect a bunch of mechanical parts to show up on my doorstep?

They sent an email out to everyone and included everyoneā€™s email address in the to line.

Due to this egregious error, we could look up your email address to see if it was included in the list and tell you?

I STRONGLY recommend you direct message one of us that provided a picture of what we received and that you think wonā€™t screw you over by sharing or abusing your email address.

Do NOT enter your email address publicly here as you never know what someone will do with it.

They selected the first random amount of users who did directly send in feedback. Based on their mistake with emails CCā€™d, looks like upwards of 160+ people will be getting something

My parts just arrived :). Got Basketball game and Stemfie Infinity Gears. Unfortunately no train :(.
Mine arrived in bubble-wrap envelopes, each kit packed separatly.
In the email I received, there were additional 52 email addresses - so it looks like they were sending these in batches and the actual number of people is larger.

started printing the basketball game, looking forward to the weekend with the kiddos.

I can build the train without the full kit by the looks of it. If you happen to have something that uses 2 AAAā€™s you can remove the Ā± terminals and print the enclosure to use with those. Otherwise the motor from the dino kit for me looks like itll work.

For now though im doing 1

I have to say I an a bit jealous of you guys ^^

How do you find the kit? interesting, well priced,ā€¦

@MakerWorld Thank you

Thatā€™s interesting on two levels.

  1. More than the number of people included in I received got these.
  2. They repeatedly exposed email addresses by continuing to make one of the most well known ā€œdonā€™t ever do this as us stupid and dangerousā€ ā€˜mistakesā€™. Something their follow up apology tour email implied happened just once, not several times. It also said it was technical error, when this was clearly human error.

I have a motor with a single shaft in my Basketball kit, so I am not be able to use it for the train. But, I will order it ASAP, itā€™s like 20 Euros, so not that expensive. I need to order hardened extruder gears for my printer, so will have free postage anyway.

Iā€™ll find out when I put it together tomorrow. The basketball game is fairly quick. Depending on longevity of the components thatā€™ll make the ultimately decision. Iā€™m currently working on my project dependent on maker supply and strictly working to make it under $20, worth $20 and ez assembly & disassembly so the hardware can be put in and taken out for different us relatively quick. Thatā€™s kinda what I see making the most out of this feature, for me at least.

The basketball game is priced @ $40 but you add in filament, electricity, any post processing, any failures, and assembly time youā€™ll be around $60 said and done. Iā€™m more so happy to be able to showcase @Kitcrafters design and provide the best possible feedback and show it off at our STEM events at schools and maybe have some people build their own.

Iā€™m curious to get the full kit. The kits they sent us were just a smaller selection of parts for two specific models. Mine covers the walking dino and the stem gear thing. Itā€™s neat to see up close. The motor with the switches and all those parts, seeing how it actually is suppose to work, with having it in my hands. I like the concept. It could certainly be useful.

Iā€™m keenest on the self taping screws and dowl rods.

Oh, one thing that struck me, that I hadnā€™t fully realized, was the actual size of the motors. Hereā€™s a picture with various things for scale. I expected the smaller motor to be larger. Iā€™ve bought similiarish motors before, but they werenā€™t that small. Not that I recall anyway. Now Iā€™m questioning myself, hmm.

Iā€™m not sure I can use anything from the pack that came with the small motor. My tremors are too much to hold anything that isnā€™t chunky.

I will have to get a friend to build it for me if I choose to print the model it is designed for.

Look, Iā€™m not suggesting you build two robot armsā€¦ but I totally am.
