Update
~ Looks like MakerWorld sent out an email to the users who are receiving the gift with a notice now to be on the look out and a BOM of what you should have in the kits. Only thing is @MakerWorld this email was about [2] days late after already receiving the package lol
Well well well, looks like I know what I’ll be doing for the next few weeks.
I received a motor in one and a USB fan speed controller with several other things I haven’t looked up yet.
Does anyone know what I am meant to build with these? I would be grateful for hints. Some of the codes don’t appear on Maker’s Supply searches. I wonder if the U.K. list is a smaller section available to every other territory (again).
The tiny text doesn’t help look things up (old man issues).
It was a thank you gift/marketing solution for people who noticed the small words on the front page of the newly added [Maker Supply] tab that states “Parts Wishlist” where you can submit feedback/requests on what maker supply should carry or add to the line up.
I watched the tab pop up before my eyes and instantly browsed and recommended like 5 things, one of which I see now available is a [fan] but I more so suggested a PWM prop fan like what you’d see on a snap circuit kit. If I’m cooling a board or anything really my go to has been Noctua.
Mistakenly makerworld sent out the email to all of us and had CC’d everyone’s email address lol so by the looks of it there’s 160+ people who will receive this.
I didn’t notice the small lettering, just noticed that I can request some parts, and as I needed magnets for one of my designs, they were not available, so I justr created a request for them to be added to shop. I was surprised with the thank you email
I think they noticed issues with completeness of the setups, as I got a follow up message with complete BOMs for the kits.
Unfortunately my kits did not arrive yet
The train looks good but to print as is, would mean extra purchases of 2 x carbon fiber filament plus a hardened steel hot end (£70-80 ish), although there are alternatives for the train itself ,
Well you can count on them to arrive! Funny enough everything came in a medium sized box with the logo and words Bambu Labs on the side only to open and find 2 smaller boxes containing the parts just floating around some on top and underneath the flaps, so make sure to check the inside completely.
@MakerWorld If possible when it comes to shipping the [Maker Supply] items or kits when ordered in large quantity, could we get them in a bag altogether?. Both these kits could’ve been in one of the small boxes, sealed in their own bags with some air bags in on the top and bottom.
(I still enjoy the boxes and reuse them for orders of course )
I haven’t looked at the model page yet but hold up, why do you need CF for that?? I literally only seen the gif of the model and was sold on it ever since.
When my kids seen it then it became excitement I was going to get it but when I told them I didn’t get that now it’s I’m going to end up buying it lol
