I did find out there currently are no models with Anker being selected so maybe they will eventually be adding all brands?
But I have no idea what Bambu’s intention for that would be other than to filter non-Bambu sliced options maybe?
Perhaps its a partnership?

Yes perhaps you’re right. I do wish there was a little more communication in that regard but just a small personal preference.

Actually, I find this a welcome move. It’s also consistent with their re-write of Prusa Slicer in that they already support third party devices in Bambu Studio.
Keeping things open-source is not a bad strategy if you feel confident in one’s ability to out-innovate. It also gives them a good handle and leg up on seeing which features are demanded most by the user base while at the same time, mitigating the inescapable echo-chamber affect when you only drink your own corporate Kool-Aid.
