Maker's Essential Kit A - worth the money?

Anyone purchase the Maker’s Essential Kit A for $150, and do you think itʻs worth the money. I like the idea of a selection/sampling but think ordering individual items or waiting for a sale?

I have a Kit A and I love it but there are parts that I haven’t used yet. Maybe a Maker’s Select Kit would be a good idea where they let you pick and choose your own parts.

I bought it and if it’s worth the money or not, it depends. They say it’s cheaper than buying all the parts individually but I don’t see by how much. They give an itemized list of what’s in it so you can always build it from parts and see.

Assortments of anything tend to not have enough of what you use and too much of what you don’t. And it depends on what you are wanting to do. MW tends to feature prints that use their parts and it might get you more exposure if that happens. It gives you a handy box of things to design with that others can buy individually if they build your prints, but might also be handy for printing others’ prints too.

But really actually worth it if you just have something specific in mind? Maybe not. Might be more cost effective to just buy what you need. It is a cool assortment though. If you are a tech geek, it’s fun just to pull out parts and look them over. That can be inspiration too.

If you spend Maker Points on the kit coupon instead gift cards, it is only about $100 dollars in points! So if you are using gift cards, that is the better way to go by far.

I got one that way, but haven’t had time to use much of it. It is sooo many parts, I am not even sure how to use some them, but I hope to when I find time.
