Maker's Supply BOM quantity confusion

Hello @Tanklet,

I think there is some confusion about the item quantities when inserting Maker’s Supply BOM.

I made this error myself and then realized: suppose you need 4 magnets for a model, so I put 4 magnets in the BOM. But that’s wrong because 1 magnet item contains 20 pieces. Instead, I should put 1 item, but then the user is confused because they need 4 pieces.

I think it would be better if the quantity to enter is the actual number of pieces needed for the model. Then, you automatically calculate how many items are required. For example, if the item has 20 pieces and you need 4, you only need to buy 1 item.

Sure but it’s not model related it’s a general issue. In this one I had set 21x Magnets quantity instead it should be (fixed now) only 2x because one item has 20 pieces so 2 are sufficient to get 21 magnets.
