Makers Supply incentive. Doubt about how it works

Need clarification since it’s the first time i use Makers Supply parts on one of my models.

As stated in the Makers Supply Creator Incentive page:

Stage 2 Points Award = 300 x Total price of parts in the BOM (calculated in USD)

When the [Downloads + 2xPrints] reaches 2000, we will conduct another review. After ensuring that there are no anomalies, we will calculate Stage 2 Points and award it to the model creator.

Does that mean that the 2000 downloads at Stage 2 are the sum of the Model downloads and the 2 x prints? Because right now the model is with 1.4k downloads and 564 prints. If i get it right it should count as 1400+564+564 right? Sorry for the question but again, it’s my first time.

Also got this today for that model:

I already got the stage 1 points and would like to know, from people who is more experienced with the Makers Supply stuff, how long does the review take normally?

Thank you

There’s something wrong with your notifications? Mine normally look like this:

I don’t get these 2000 plus notification a lot… Normally it’s like yours, make it more 10 or less 10

The review is done manually upon reaching a milestone and is also manually awarded. So far I only got it once and it was couple days for 1st stage and a week for 2nd stage.

Thank you. But my doubt is about the number of downloads to achieve stage 2.
At what point in numbers did your stage 2 get reviewed?
From what i read, i think my mathematics on the first post is right, but i don’t know. With makerworld and their phrasing, everyone gets more confused than anything

I got a few Maker Supply rewards already, and it always took a few days, maybe 2-3. There wasn’t really a pattern, I think it depends on how much the staff has to do. Always happened during China business hours, so when I was asleep.

With one design that crushed the 2000 within just a few days, I even got the Stage 2 reward 2 days before I got the Stage 1 reward. Seems a little chaotic, they really do it by hand.

Right now, I’m also waiting for 3 new rewards for a at least 3-5 days. Seems like the delay is simply longer at the moment. Note they also had to delay the christmas contest (maybe for the second time already?).

It’s now about 2 Weeks after my first Stage 2 reward, I wasn’t invited to the creator program. By now I think my designs are most likely too simplistic for them.

Thank you for the reply. I think i will have to wait then. My doubt was really about how they count it but i think i should be in the stage 2 already. Time to wait

Thank you all :ok_hand:

Yeah, it’s definitely this “Weighted Downloads”, where they count Downloads + 2 x Prints

Otherwise I wouldn’t have gotten my rewards so far.

Thank you again. I think i can have it as a solution :ok_hand:

Seems to take upwards of a few weeks to get on the actual store though. During which point you’re not earning any points from the Maker’s Supply program. (Normal points are still there, but there is no “Stage 3,” just points from purchases of the actual kit- which they take their time to tally and post.)

Thanks but i am still waiting for the stage 2. I don’t have any hopes of it getting in the store, to be honest.

When we track the stage target, both Stage 1 and Stage 2 will count 1 Print as 2. So your calculation is correct.

Since the review of model data and the compatibility check of model parts are both conducted manually, and points are also awarded manually, it will take a few business days for the points to be awarded after the model Downloads and Prints reach each stage target.

Thanks for being patient.

How long does it take to get the actual model onto the store? I’ve been waiting for 9 days, and I believe others have been waiting even longer. We get no points form the Maker’s Supply Incentive during this downtime.

Thank you for the answer. I also noticed that i got the Stage 2 points already.
