Makerworld: Allow periods in file names

Currently if you upload a file that has a period in the filename it will process fine, but if you go to rename the file on makerworld, it removes any periods and will not let you rename to something with a period (excluding the extension).
Example filename “part for something 3.25mm.stl”

Considering dimensions can be a critical difference between parts I think that this is important.

Until they fix it, fight back with “part for something three point two five millimeters.stl”

It’s not a Windows problem. :sunglasses:
The last software update file name was/is: Bambu_Studio_win-v01.09.01.66.exe
I use hyphens all the time, but MS says not to use those or the underscore either.

To be clear, I’m having this issues with the maker world website, not windows or Bambu Studio, they both work just fine with standard file names.

I haven’t tried it, but will it maybe let you use a comma as the decimal? That’s how the rest of the world outside the US uses it anyway, so maybe it might work.

Not a bad idea for the short term, but I’d rather just see the issue resolved. I can’t see why we can’t use periods, every other site can manage it.

Not quite the rest of the world, it’s about 50/50
