Makerworld User Steals Models

I found a Makerworld user who steals models and posts them on makeronline pretending they are his own.
Lately he has released 30 Christmas models all stolen from MW and also some exclusive models The genius came out as I reported all the original makers their stolen models and they also responded to me the genius of the moment calling me a loser and saying that all the models are his. The Makerworld user in question is this one and I suggest you block him jasonvorxis50 | Published - MakerWorld

while on makeronline he calls himself Makeronline: Download Free 3D Printing Models and Print Now

It seems he is also starting to delete models at this time and has been reported to makeronline as well. Check this scoundrel

@MakerWorld

Here’s what he responds publicly under a model, the only one that is truly his here and on Makeronline (he’s deleting all the other models).

I think that this user, since we know who he is, should be banned from Makerworld

Now I see what was the AI generated pictures theme on the forum all about. I never saw any on the Makerworld - seems like I just browse different categories that are not so interesting for general public.
But i see he has only couple of models - not sure he stole those or had them generated by AI ?

Hi, thanks for alerting us.
This type of behavior is not welcomed on MakerWorld and we will be sure to deal with this situation accordingly and swiftly.
Thanks for your concern and support!

No, it has nothing to do with AI. He posted other users’ Christmas designs on another site, many of which are covered by the exclusive program. In addition to the model he stole photos and descriptions, there were 30 models, there are still some left. In addition to stealing the models, he makes claims like above

In which he kant spel rite and threats retaliatory action… Am I correct in thinking that such behaviour is prohibited on both MO and MW? (not spellink rong, dats aloud ereverywhere)

This is why you shouldn’t contact them and just report it.

All you do is alert them and often enable them to get away with it because they delete all the stolen models as if nothing happened. No models to report = no punishment.

This is one of the remaining models, among other things protected by the exclusive program. The cover image was also stolen from the comments on Makerworld

oh cool someone still works at Bambu/Makerworld , I thought you all abandoned us… now can someone please address all the lowball ratings i have reported?

in all fairness @MakerWorld has not been taking action on reports, I thought the ship was sinking or something… surprised to see an actual response here.

The response came because they felt attacked and it’s their image being portraited in the competitor website.
If said user had not written this, they would not respond that fast.:

Just take a look at most of the complaints around here and you see that the last time they wrote in the forum was probably to show a good stand for it’s users about that AI topic… and nothing was solved because the offenders are still doing it like it was nothing.
Again, this would be a great platform, but without control or with the type of control that makerworld is having, it’s not going anywhere and soon this will be a place to get fast money by posting trash and then move on. We can see already some people getting printers for free and selling them right after they are delivered to them. It’s quick money without an effort. :roll_eyes: :wink:

I still see action on my reports within a day or 2… that is, a fraction of them. I might report 10 things, all with the exact same issue, 3 get action the other 7 just seem as if they were never reported. It’s almost like they just pick and choose random stuff but then just move on and don’t worry about reports once they are more than a few days old. idk.

I tried to notify the author but he doesn’t respond, I also reported on MO. This model is covered by the exclusive program and this user who had stolen several models, continues to freely maintain this model that is not his on another platform.

@MakerWorld , we should intervene.

original model covered by the exclusive program

stolen model from user this user also present on MW with another nickname

this is the user who stole the models (he deleted many of them on my report) and is still present on makerworld despite these claims:

What do you expect to ban this character and protect the user model?

Check out Shein, those dragons and other articulated stuff for few $ … I bet there are hundreds of sites like this and most likely what they sell is not their design. And if it is not their design who says the pictures are not stolen as well?

Point is. Lot’s of stolen models out there and no chance MakerWorld can 100% confirm the reported model is stolen from you on MakerWorld. Could be stolen from a different web site and posted here. And if MW is not 100% sure they can’t will not not just take the model down here.

But he is reported as an exclusive model and the user’s pictures on MO are taken from MW’s comments

Apparently it’s sold everywhere, so it shouldn’t even be in the exclusive program

As I understand the EMP rules, the stipulation is that the model files themselves cannot be hosted anywhere else except MakerWorld, however the creator can grant commercial licence to sell the printed models.

I would imagine there’s a backlog of information Makerworld can reference.

I have never seen makerworld with such low team support … nobody is doing anything lately for the reports we are giving, a lot of people are scamming and posting models that are stolen ! WHAT IS GOING ON >>??

The exclusive program is pretty cool… but you guys can barely handle the reports people are making and the tickets we are opening still take ages to get replys… so my qquestion is why add more stuff to your website such as those if you cant handle it as you dont have enough employees ?? thanks
