following problem happened to me today:
I have started a print, and the bed was already very low. After sending the job to my printer, it started to lower the bed, and did not stop for a few seconds. The motor screamed. In the end, the printer started to print as usual, but I am very sure my z motors wont like it more often. Anyone had the same issue, or know if there is a fix?

The only fix I know of is making sure you home it before starting a new print
What firmware version? There was an update a couple months back that was supposed to solve this issue.
The latest firmware update is supposed to stop that.
It happened after the update on wednesday. I dont know if the same issue was there before, because I have never started a print with a low bed.
Before the printer lowers the bed like that it does reduce the motor current to prevent damage. That does not stop us from feeling stressed when it happens. That is why they supposedly changed the firmware to prevent the issue.
